There are many institutions that distribute magazines and I will look at three different institutions to decide on which one of them would be best for my music magazine.

I think the best media institution that would distribute my magazine would be IPC Media. IPC media don't produce many magazines and the one magazine they do is NME therefore they would have the time to focus on my magazine. Although both magazines would share a similar genre they both would have a different look so there wouldn't be competition between NME and Venue.

Some other media institutions would be:

• Bauer Media
• Future PLC

Bauer Media

Bauer Media is a large institution which produces many magazines world wide and so I think they wouldn't have the time to distribute another magazine. The magazines they produce are in the same genre as my magazine. Also the magazine which influenced my own is published by Bauer Media therefore they would have two similar magazines that would compete against each other.

Future PLC

Future PLC produces a range of magazines, however they focus on instruments and tutorials on how to. in comparison my magazine focuses on artists and bands and therefore this institution wouldn't be the best option.
